Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t last long Needed a new cartridge after a year. Delta said they would only supply 1 for the life of the faucet. A year later the new one is failing and the screw to remove the handle to replace the $50 cartridge has seized so the faucet need to be replaced. Garbage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Cut Above Great faucet, so easy to maneuver, love the bronze color. Also have the soap dispenser, and a lot of new faucets do not come with soap dispensers, and if you have had a previous one that could be a problem. I can definitely tell it is well made and worth the additional money we spent. You can shop the big box stores but their faucets will all be builder grade (low end). Kick it up a notch or two or three and go with a faucet that’s going to perform better and longer.

What is the color difference between the arctic stainless and the spotshield stainless? Which one would match closest with a stainless sink and appliances?

Asked by: Michelle
Hi Michelle, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 9178-AR-DST. Stainless or SpotShield Stainless are neutral, low-gloss finishes. Arctic Stainless has cooler tones. Arctic Stainless would likely be a better match for stainless appliances. Please contact us directly if you have any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist

The water pressure is very low coming out of my faucet? How do you clean?

Asked by: PatrickH
Hi Valued Customer, Thank you for your question regarding our Delta Faucet 9178-DST. I would be happy to help you. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance. Best Regards, Themar

What is the advantage or disadvantage of a mounting plate?

Asked by: Eileen

My hot water flow is very low, almost nonexistent, on my 9178-SP-DST. It has been this way since the moment of installation. Can you suggest anything?

Asked by: Eomalley67
Hello Eomalley67, Thank you for reaching out to Delta Faucet Company! We apologize for the issues you are experiencing and we are happy to help! We recommend flushing the faucet before completing the installation. There may be debris in the faucet lines and the faucet will need to be flushed. Please gather a towel, an adjustable wrench, and a 5-gallon bucket or large bowl. 1. Remove the wand by unthreading counterclockwise. There is a black button where the hose and wand connect, press the button in and twist. 2. Hold onto the hose, point it into the sink drain, and turn the water on. 3. If no water is coming out, install the wand to the hose and place it back into the spout. Go underneath and you will see where the hose connects to the faucet by a blue clip. Remove the blue clip and pull off the hose. 4. Place the 5-gallon bucket under the connection and turn the water on. 5. If there is still no water coming out a hot/cold water supply line will need to be flushed. Please re-install the hose and the hose clip to the faucet and proceed to the next steps. 1. Please shut off both hot and cold water supplies. 2. Remove the cold water line and point the line into the bucket. 3. Turn the hot water on and allow the water to flow into the bucket for about a minute. 4. Turn the hot water back off and install the cold water line correctly. 5. Remove the hot water line and point the line into the bucket. 6. Turn the cold water on and allow the water to flow into the bucket for about a minute. 7. Turn the cold water back off and install the hot water line correctly. We appreciate your inquiry. Please reach out directly if you have further questions! I have the above facet now for about 6 years, it has started dripping. How do I fix that?

Asked by: dkheverly
Hi dkheverly, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! It is possible that a flush could resolve this issue with your LELAND® Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet MODEL#: 9178-AR-DST. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold-water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut-off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the fully open middle position, and then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and repeat with the second line. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Kelley Digital Communications Specialist
