We chose the Delta Leland because of the style-especially the large handle for my husband who has big hands and the Shield Spray which concentrates the spray on dishes that you rinse. My husband installed this faucet. I would definitely recommend the Leland. It is a wonderful addition to our kitchen.

Works well and is convenient, but now and then it will go on or go off when my hand gets very close to the faucet but does not touch it. That can be annoying and wet. I would like it looked at but am not interested in another large bill. Faucet was expensive, as was the installation.

It took me a little time to figure out how it worked because the stream of water is different. I wish it would not get water spots on it so easily if you do not wipe of the drops right away it leaves spots on it.

The only issue is that it takes a while to get used to the short throw in the cartridge. You go from hot to cold almost without a "warm". I love the cartridge guarantee. Maybe the best in the business.

Called Delta and they said it is a defective cartridge and they would send me a new one. I do not feel I should bear the expense of installing the cartridge as they sold a defective product and this was bad since it was installed.

I see where you have answered the question about the difference between Model 9178 and 9678. What is the difference between those and Model 19978?

Hello Kathy 61, Thank you for your question. The Delta Leland Pull-Down 19978-SS-DST faucet is a Home Depot exclusive model and it is similar to the Leland 9178-AR-DST faucet. fawcet is leaking do you have repair kit

Hi, tttt! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta faucet. There is a bonnet nut that is holding the cartridge down, underneath your handle. We recommend to tighten the bonnet nut to stop the leak. To do this, turn the water off at your shut off valve. Remove the handle. Pull the cartridge out to clean the bottom puck of the cartridge. Reinstall the cartridge assembly. Tighten the bonnet by turning clockwise, to the right. Install the handle back on and turn the water back on. Test the faucet. If the faucet still leaks, we recommend to replace both the valve cartridge assembly, RP50587, and the bonnet nut, RP51503. What is the tubing for the pull-out spray made of? I am concerned about the materials as the drinking water is now being consumed from this spray.

I have the Delta Leland touch faucet 9178 TAR DST. Can it still work when the batteries go dead

Hi LID, Thank you for your question! The light will flash red when the batteries are low. You can remove the batteries while the water is running to switch to manual mode. You can also turn the faucet off with the handle, disconnect the solenoid, and connect the hose directly to the faucet to bypass the solenoid. Best regards, Jon

Is there a method to keep the Leland faucet centered on the plate provided to cover the extra sink holes? Mine keeps sliding all over the place leaving a gaping grin were it fits onto the cover plate.

We recommend to tighten the mounting nut for the faucet, under the sink to secure. You may also use a bit of silicon sealant around the plate at the sink base to secure the plate. I plan to replace my kitchen faucet with the Leland 9178-AR-DST. The 9178 spec sheet indicates that the temperature handle movement is from centerline of the body away from the sink. The Q&A seems to contradict this. Please clarify?

Hello TomA1, Thank you for your question. The handle of the Delta Leland Pull-down Kitchen 9178-AR-DST faucet operates by moving/pushing it away/outwards from the faucet to turn on the cold water. Rotating the handle towards the back to adjust for warm and hot water. Best regards, Tanya
