Super cool spray options!
This faucet offers three distinct spray options and one is like the fountain at the Bellagio! Well maybe not quite as elaborate but very fun to watch. There is a center jet that can be directed and the outer spray is swirly.

Replacement Delta Kitchen Faucet
Overall a good product. Looks great. Very easy to install. No issues, no leaks. One change I would recommend is go back to earlier version of spray nozzle. The “shield spray” is gimmicky at best and ineffective. It significantly reduces the effectiveness of the spray mode.

It is mostly good, but have two minor complaints. when in the 'spray' mode the pressure is high enough where you get water bouncing around. And the length of the 'throw', moving between hot and cold is surprisingly short, so a bit tricky to get just the right temp.

Great Faucet
This is a sturdy kitchen sink faucet. The arc is a bit far forward meaning the water doesn't hit the center of my sink (which is pretty large itself). So I'd recommend paying close attention to the measurements. If you have a smaller sink, you my find yourself getting wet when you wash dishes.

Looks greatnand operates as expected. The recertification store is now my go to for sink and shower supplies. Instructions need to be modified...no mention. Of the blue clip on the diffuser hose. I found out the hard way it was not a snap tight lock.

Better than I expected
I bought this recertified faucet thinking that given the discount I wouldn't be too upset if it had a blemish or something small that might make someone take it back for full price, but to my surprise the faucet looked brand new in every way. I was floored.
Beyond that the faucet works much better than the old one, has the new splash guard feature which is really nice, and looks amazing in my kitchen.
I'm very happy with the faucet and with the Delta recertified products in general (I bought 2 other recertified faucets which were equally a positive experience.

This is a beautiful, single-valve kitchen faucet. Its pull-down sprayer works great. The only issue is that it takes a while to get used to the short throw in the cartridge. You go from hot to cold almost without a "warm". I love the cartridge guarantee. Maybe the best in the business.

Faulty Design
It is very difficult to get this faucet in the exact position where it doesn't drip. There are many reviews saying the same, and I am frankly baffled that there are so many 5 star reviews as well. Delta's response is to engage in a lengthy process to flush out the hot and cold lines. I had this faucet for about 9 months and finally threw it out. The faucet I replaced it with requires no such flushing and easily turns off without drips. In my opinion this faucet design is defective and should not be sold.

Delta 9178 review
Pleased with the faucet. Online order efficient. Easy install for our plumber. Some negative reviews noted problems with the dock. Our plumber noted that the dock weight can easily be moved up and secured in a tight fitting under counter space like ours to make the docking efficient and crisp. We have had the faucet only couple of weeks but like it. Much better than the not too old similar, and expensive, Moen we replaced which had chronic leak and loose handle issues and very challenging to work on due to design of access to the handle mechanism.

I have a Leland 9178-AR-DST kitchen faucet that is starting to leak from the faucet pull down. The water continues to run if the handle is not closed hard into the off position. It's very sensitive and hard to close off the water flow after 6 yrs of use.

This model may contain, bronze, brass (36000, 260) (hub, handle, body, tube, fittings, zinc (escutcheon, hub, handle), stainless Steel (undercover plate, seat liner, set screw), copper (tubing), aluminum, PEX-C (puck and tubing), silicone (gaskets), synthetic rubber - EDPM, santoprene (hoses), vinyl (hoses), nylon, plastics, and ceramics.

Cleaned aerator, still low pressure. Can barely blow through head. Now I got to buy a head for $200? Only had for two years. Why not incorporate a filter/screen before the head? Is this under warranty?

It is possible that a flush could resolve this issue the LELAND® Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet (Recertified) MODEL#: 9178-SP-DST-R. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold-water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut-off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the fully open middle position, and then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and repeat with the second line.
