Faulty Valve
This faucet looks good and performs well, except it's extremely difficult to close completely. The reviews I read mentioned that and it certainly is true. I think Delta needs to fix this.

Just OK is not OK
This faucet is in the home we bought a couple months ago. It's OK. We had a Delta "Essa" model in our previous home and while these two models are roughly the same price, I would rate the Essa much higher on appearance, feel, and function. I installed the Essa myself and felt it was a quality piece. The Leland is a little ornate for my taste, and I don't care for the feel of the handle. The range of motion is small and as others have indicated, not easy to shut off completely.
I highly recommend the Essa. I not so highly recommend the Leland.

okay but not great
I bought this because of all the rave reviews, but honestly I do not think it lives up to the hype. It works but the regular sprayer comes out as two lines of spray instead of an even circular spray and once it hits your plate or cup the water sprays all over. The "Splash Guard" spray feature doesn't splash but it is not effective, the spray is too "soft".

Delta Leland kitchen Faucet
Clean lines with perfect functionality. Blends well with my remodeled, modified shaker, natural wood kitchen. I love that there are no fancy grooves or designs on finish so keeping it clean and sanitized is easy.

Looks great but doesn't last
We bought this faucet three years ago and after about a year, the magnetic doc stopped working. We just push it back into place now. After two years, we got a slow drip from the faucet itself, and after three years, we are now getting drips from who knows where into the cabinet below. This was professionally installed, so installation was not a problem. I think this is just a cheaper model of their more expensive one, but it doesn't pay to go cheap. Will be looking into the lifetime warranty. Hoping they will honor it.

Three times, you're out!
I replaced this faucet three times and am still not happy. It has a sticky handle and it's impossible to regulate hot and cold. It is either scalding or tepid. Every re-installment incurs an installation fee by the plumber. Avoid this faucet!

Shieldspray sucks
This is the second Delta faucet I have purchased in the last month. I bought a Delta Leland faucet 6 years ago when I did a kitchen remodel. That faucet was awesome. The shieldspray is terrible. I won’t buy another faucet ever again with shield spray. The old version was way better.

Beautiful!
The faucet looks great with my new granite sink. I couldn't afford a new kitchen island, so instead I got a new sink and this faucet. Makes the kitchen look updated. I like how it works as well. I wanted the magnetic docking, as I figure that over the years it will continue to be effective.

Love mmy faucet!
My pull-down faucet is the bomb! Love the spray head and the pull-down feature. I didn't think I would use it much but I use it every day. It's so convenient to rinse and clean the sink and the magnetic feature is wonderful! I would recommend this to anyone thinking about purchasing a pull-down faucet.

I love the faucet but I have one problem. When you change to spray it drips. I have to press the button really hard to stop it from dripping. It turns off all the way when I turn the faucet off. Is there something to fix this problem.

I have a Leland 9178-AR-DST kitchen faucet that is starting to leak from the faucet pull down. The water continues to run if the handle is not closed hard into the off position. It's very sensitive and hard to close off the water flow after 6 yrs of use.

It is not made of solid stainless steel. This model may contain, bronze, brass (36000, 260) (hub, handle, body, tube, fittings, zinc (escutcheon, hub, handle), stainless Steel (undercover plate, seat liner, set screw), copper (tubing), aluminum, PEX-C (puck and tubing), silicone (gaskets), synthetic rubber - EDPM, santoprene (hoses), vinyl (hoses), nylon, plastics, and ceramics.

Cleaned aerator, still low pressure. Can barely blow through head. Now I got to buy a head for $200? Only had for two years. Why not incorporate a filter/screen before the head? Is this under warranty?

It is possible that a flush could resolve this issue the LELAND® Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet (Recertified) MODEL#: 9178-SP-DST-R. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold-water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut-off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the fully open middle position, and then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and repeat with the second line.
