Faulty controller
We had a plumber install this Leland faucet with an invoice date of 6/14/2010 from our contractor. We have hard water, but the faucet, spray and water flow have been great. However, the controller has had to be replaced by our plumber two times and now needs repaired again. He took the controller apart and it is broken inside above the sink, therefore you have to jiggle the controller to get it to shut the water off.

Love this new faucet
Got this new faucet installed shortly before the holidays... and we've been loving it ever since. Great water pressure, and we really enjoy the spray options. We needed a replacement as the older faucet was starting to clog up. This Delta faucet has been the perfect fit for our needs and performs really well. Highly recommend.

Poor instructions...still mopping up
Sprayer connection is flimsy. No positive lock. Has a cripple bracket that pops on exterior to hold it together. It has popped off twice soaking my cabinet. Poor design. Tempted to put the original faucet back on.
Directions are the worst.

Good and easy to maintain
After 3 years, the faucet started leaking and once I contacted warranty department a replacement part was shipped. It took a few days to arrive and 15 minutes top to install.

Very Happy, after a bad start
I had a professional install the faucet. We were very pleased until day 5 when we found water coming out from under the kitchen sink cabinet onto the floor. I looked under the sink & saw water spraying from the pull down hose connection to the water supply hose. Fortunately, it only leaked when the faucet was turned on. I called the plumber back & he found that the plastic connector on the hose was fractured. This was on Saturday. On Monday, I called Delta customer service & the representative readily agreed to send a replacement hose which I received a week later. Meanwhile we had to "go to the creek" so to speak, to handle our kitchen water needs for 10 days. Plumber replaced hose & now all is well. We like all the features & especially the "spot shield technology". Thanks for the prompt customer service.

Truly a Lifetime Warranty
We bought a pull down kitchen faucet when we built our new house in 2015. It began to leak, and I contacted Customer Service for help. After several attempts to fix the leak with parts sent by Delta, it was determined that it was not fixable, and Delta sent us a brand new replacement faucet.

Model 978-DST. Cannot remove the bonnet to replace the cartridge..Used suggested 1 5/16 socket. Cannot break it loose from the base. Some help please. Thanks.

We recommend wrapping a cloth soaked in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water around the bonnet. This will help break up the mineral buildup in the threads. If additional assistance is required you may wish to contact a plumber.

faucet handle spins all the way around
I attempted to adjust this faucet handle as it was causing the faucet to leak somewhat. when i removed the set screw holding the faucet on and then retightened the scew the faucet handle now feels loose and spins 360 degrees. im looking to get this repaired but im not sure if i need a new handle or if it is the cartridge the handle goes onto that needs to be replaced.
Hi jasimek, Thank you for your question. It sounds like either the set screw is not tight enough, or the screw is not in contact with the stem portion of the dst cartridge. Make sure the cartridge is seated properly, and that the bonnet and sleeve assembly are tightened correctly. The handle set screw should attach to the cartridge stem on the flat portion of the stem preventing the handle from spinning. I have a Delta 978-DST kitchen faucet and the handle is getting worn out. I don't have the small allen wrench it appears I would need to replace the worn parts in the handle. Do you have this tool?

Thank you for your question. On the lever handle, of your Delta Leland Pull-Down Kitchen 978-DST model, you should find a small hex screw that can be loosened with a 1/8" Allen wrench. Really 2.5" min clearance to backsplash (4" high)? Want to replace a Moen Aberdeen with your Leland 978-DST. The Moen fits fine with 2" clearance from faucet midpoint to backsplash. Why can't I use 978-DST with same 2" center to backsplash clearance?

what size garden hose aerator adapter should i buy? i need to hook an aquarium garden hose to the faucet head. 13/16 does not fit. its too small.

Thank you for your question. We only offer one aerator adapter, RP51505. This adapter converts 21.5X 1-6 g metric thread to 55/64”-27 standard thread. Your aerator, RP50815 has M21.5 threads, however care should be taken as we have not tested and do not recommend using this adapter with the pullout or pulldown spray wands.

The magnetic head and spray hose. Is this supposed to retract completely on its own? New installation, everything ok. Hose retracts to plastic spray head. I have to push head into faucet to seal. Thank you.
