Perfect Faucet
The faucet's design allow plenty of space for large pots. I like the handle on the side. I don't drip water everywhere when I turn the water off like my other one. The sprayer is small and not cumbersome to use. Very happy with my new faucet.

We bought this as part of a kitchen re-do. It goes so well with our dark stainless steel appliances and brushed nickel door hardware.
We love the variety of streams / sprays available. Being able to use the head as a hand sprayer is very convenient. And the ease of regulating the water flow fate proves very handy.

I purchased this a little while ago for a counter and sink remodel. I spent quite a bit of time sorting through reviews and finally came back to Delta. I’ve had Delta products exclusively in my home for 28 years and they have stood behind every faucet I own. This faucet has great extension for our oversized sink, and the pressures are spot on for filling pots, rinsing loose food and the spot high pressure jet with the spray shield works really well too. Installation keeps getting easier, I literally installed this in less than 10 minutes. No leaks and well thought out. I passed on several “commercial” style units because they look good when they aren’t in use, but lack in many areas during use. I’m picky on a focal piece of plumbing and I am happy to say this has met all my needs and expectations.

Beautiful Faucet
Love this faucet. Wasn't sure about the high arch but I'm very happy with it. The Shieldspray Technology is awesome and the Spotshield Stainless finish is beautiful (no water spots and very smooth finish). I'm not sure about the Touch-clean Spray Hole technology -- I don't see anything happen with the "touch of a finger".

Fantastic Faucet
we were in dire straights with an older, leaky faucet. We did the research and found this one to be among the highest recommended for our price point and, even though we had to wait a few extra weeks for assembly (covid related), we are super happy with the purchase. Pleased with the magnetic lock of the nozzle end.
The shut-off is a little touchy but it works when the handle is centered. The whole fixture is a little massive but well built is seems. Being a new owner, I can't comment on reliability or the finish holding up.
I like the different spray options and the length of the pull out.

Model 978-DST. Cannot remove the bonnet to replace the cartridge..Used suggested 1 5/16 socket. Cannot break it loose from the base. Some help please. Thanks.

We recommend wrapping a cloth soaked in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water around the bonnet. This will help break up the mineral buildup in the threads. If additional assistance is required you may wish to contact a plumber.

faucet handle spins all the way around
I attempted to adjust this faucet handle as it was causing the faucet to leak somewhat. when i removed the set screw holding the faucet on and then retightened the scew the faucet handle now feels loose and spins 360 degrees. im looking to get this repaired but im not sure if i need a new handle or if it is the cartridge the handle goes onto that needs to be replaced.
Hi jasimek, Thank you for your question. It sounds like either the set screw is not tight enough, or the screw is not in contact with the stem portion of the dst cartridge. Make sure the cartridge is seated properly, and that the bonnet and sleeve assembly are tightened correctly. The handle set screw should attach to the cartridge stem on the flat portion of the stem preventing the handle from spinning. I have attached a link to the parts breakdown for the model 978-DST to help you with your repair.

I have a Delta 978-DST kitchen faucet and the handle is getting worn out. I don't have the small allen wrench it appears I would need to replace the worn parts in the handle. Do you have this tool?

Thank you for your question. On the lever handle, of your Delta Leland Pull-Down Kitchen 978-DST model, you should find a small hex screw that can be loosened with a 1/8" Allen wrench. Really 2.5" min clearance to backsplash (4" high)? Want to replace a Moen Aberdeen with your Leland 978-DST. The Moen fits fine with 2" clearance from faucet midpoint to backsplash. Why can't I use 978-DST with same 2" center to backsplash clearance?

what size garden hose aerator adapter should i buy? i need to hook an aquarium garden hose to the faucet head. 13/16 does not fit. its too small.

Thank you for your question. We only offer one aerator adapter, RP51505. This adapter converts 21.5X 1-6 g metric thread to 55/64”-27 standard thread. Your aerator, RP50815 has M21.5 threads, however care should be taken as we have not tested and do not recommend using this adapter with the pullout or pulldown spray wands.

The magnetic head and spray hose. Is this supposed to retract completely on its own? New installation, everything ok. Hose retracts to plastic spray head. I have to push head into faucet to seal. Thank you.
