Great features
I bought this two weeks ago and love it. It has all the features I wanted. It has three spray features and great for spraying residue from pots and pans. The high sweeping faucet allows large pans to fit easily under for filling or cleaning. The finish is easy to clean and does show spots.

It's good, not great.
I purchased a month ago. The head of the sprayer needs to be twisted sometimes for the magnet to engage when placing it back in the pocket. And I also had a previous model and I like the full spray feature. This one is a partial spray.

Looks and feel really nice
This is our second Delta faucet, and we upgraded a little here. It feels so nice when you use it and it looks great in the Arctic finish. My plumbers all ( we had four of them around the house ) all said this is a really good faucet.

Smooth Action
I bought the faucet based on its high rating, to replace one that I had first installed in our recently remodeled kitchen. It's handle was stiffening up after less than 6 months of use. Installation was fairly easy, though the PEX supply lines are quite stiff. Once in place it looks great; a good match for our new stainless steel appliances. Full water flow seems greater than with the old unit, and the handle action is super smooth. Looking forward to many years of reliable service.

Touch feature is great!
I bought this a few weeks ago and I’m so happy I paid a little extra for the touch model! I love it when I’m cooking in the kitchen and doing dishes. (The money I save on my water bill will make up for the extra I paid for touch feature in a couple of months probably.)
Also easy to install, thanks to the included tool!

Great start, and then downhill
I bought this in May, installed it and initially it worked flawlessly. In the last month, the action on the handle has deteriorated. When pulling from cold to off, the handle now "squeeks" and has an audible and wonky, uneven motion when closing the valve. It seems way too early for a maintenance issue with a brand new faucet but something isn't right with this Delta model.

This Faucet is Great...EXCEPT...
This faucet is great EXCEPT two things.
1) The magnet has COMPLETELY RUSTED out in a little under four years. So, the faucet doesn't fit flush to the mount anymore. It is disappointing that Delta would manufacture a product that has constant contact with water without a barrier or seal for the magnet. Now, I'm constantly wiping rusted metal dust from around the faucet head. Even more disappointing is the fact that the replacement magnet is $43! That's completely overpriced for such a small component. Additionally, the limited lifetime warranty only applies to faucets purchased after 1/1/2019. It's as if Delta knows the part will FAIL. So, it started offering the warranty.
2) No matter how much I tighten the nut on the faucet, it leaks unless you position the handle a certain way. Very annoying.
Delta...I used to appreciate the quality of your products. However, after owning this particular faucet, I now question it. I now have serious reservations about purchasing another Delta faucet as a replacement or recommending the faucet to any builders.
The only reason I gave it three stars and not one is because I liked the faucet when it worked. I really expected better, Delta. This recent experience has been truly disappointing.

Installed a week ago & very proud we did! Modern look, easy operation & price was great. My most difficult thing was removing my old faucet. You need another set of hands to hold everything in place while tightening the new faucet in place.

Once installed it was apparent that the hot and cold water lines were mismarked. It required the lines to be repositioned. Not a happy experience for the cost of the product.

Good faucet, bronze finish match could be better
The faucet functions extremely well. the controls on the sprayer are in an excellent position and make this an extremely nice faucet. The flow control when off is centered in the middle between hot and cold, so if you flip the water on straight up, it's a medium temperature. Other flow control systems allow you to turn off the water on hot or on cold or wherever. To turn off the water, the control handle will always have to be in the middle. I'm sure we'll get used to this.
The only real disappoint is the match of the bronzes finish between the flow control (separate from the spigot in my model) and the spigot. The finish on the flow control is more coarse and red.

What is the difference between stainless steel finish, and artic finish. I am interested in the Leland faucet. Thank you
Hi Bosco, Thank you for your question. There is a slight difference in the finishes of Artic Stainless and Stainless Steel. Artic Stainless more closely resembles the stainless steel appliances that are available for the kitchens in todays markets. It has a bluish tint to it.
Stainless Steel has a golder tone to it and more closely matches finishes in the bathroom.

What size holes should be cut in my countertop to accommodate the spout, handle and soap dipenser?

Soap dispenser leaks from the spout. How can I fix this?
I did not install this faucet, it was in place when I bought my apartment but looks fairly new and the faucet works like a charm! However the soap dispenser needs to be pumped 4-5 times for soap to come out (the bottle is full of soap) and then after dispensing, it slowly leaks onto the sink. How can this be fixed? Thank you!
Hi Marin, We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with your soap dispenser. It sounds like the pump assembly is not working properly. Unfortunately the pump assembly is not available as a separate item. The entire RP50813 soap dispenser will need to be replaced.

I would like to take off the faucet head because it has begun to spray - I assume build up is inside the head. I see the little piece you can push in but it doesn't want to come apart from the hose easily. Is there a trick to take the head off?

Thank you for your inquiry! The wand/sprayer assembly of the Delta Leland Pull-Down Kitchen 978-AR-DST faucet, an be remove by simply unscrewing it from the end of the hose assembly. This should be done by hand only.

The spec indicates a min clearance of 2.5 inches from center of hole for faucet to backsplash. I only have 2 inches. Why is 2.5 inches needed since the handle goes forward and not back? Will 2 inches work?
Thank you for your question, Bridget! The minimum clearance to the back splash is typically suggested for lavatory models with lift rods or for models where the handle does reach backwards. This is still suggested for maximum comfort and ease of use with the handle; however this model can still work with only 2".

Thank you for your question. The Delta Leland Pull-Down 19978-SS-DST faucet is a Home Depot exclusive model and it is similar to the Leland 9178-AR-DST faucet. However, the 9178-AR-DST is designed with the ShieldSpray feature and the 19978-SS-DST model is not.

I have granite countertops with two existing holes. One hole is only 1.375" dia. Is this large enough for the handle?
