I love the Touch 20 feature!
We've had our faucet installed 2 weeks now, and I love it! I love the Touch feature. When someone doesn't use the touch feature, then it messes you up the next time you want it on, so you need to train everyone in the house! I also like the pull down sprayer and how it clips back in so well. I am very happy with my purchase!

We have had trouble with the faucet coming loose from the counter, the cartridge in the handle sticks making it difficult to use & the shut off area is so tight that it takes a bit to make sure its not dripping.
I gave it 3 stars for excellent customer service follow up trying to help fix the issues. Faucet itself is more like 2 stars.

Wonderful finish and easy to install.
Installed this unit about two weeks ago and I consider myself a novice plumber ( Like, I know how to turn the water on and off ). The one issue I had to figure out was after flushing the lines I had very low water flow on the "Hot" side. I ended up watching a youtube video and learned how to take the unit handle apart. I found what I'll describe as small black rubber chunks lodged in the hot water side. I used a toothpick to pry them out ( about 5-6 of them) and put the handle back together. The water pressure is perfect. I chose this faucet because it has a 9" reach and the head is angled at about a 35 degree angle instead of shooting straight down. This specifically was what we wanted for our farm style sink.

Be sure to measure
Bought this product for kitchen but it doesn't extend far enough over the sink so there is water splashed against the back splash, counter top and window sill every time it's turned on. Be sure to take that measurement!!

I have a new house and the fauset work fine for a year,now water keeps running after I shut it off,then when I use the spray and go bact to normal flow, it flows and drips at same time. this fauset is only about 3 years old. I also replace the fauset head washer a couple of times and still leaks . this is my 10th home and I never had problem with a fauset this old

Hot/Cold control
When using the faucet at low flow it is next to impossible to adjust the handle to a position that provides warm water. The setting between scalding hot and cold is negligible. I’ve marked the valve body with an adjacent mark on the handle in what should be a neutral position. In this position at one point the water is cold, and in a second use the water is scalding.

Stuck in both streams
Spray always stuck in both stream and spray. Cleaned it with white vinegar and water as recommended. Still stuck in both stream no matter what button is selected. The cost to replace this AND my faulty cartridge is ridiculous!

Love my faucet

Beautiful, but hard to turn off
My wife loves the look of her new oil rubbed bronze finished faucet. I really like the all brass construction, especially at this price point. What neither of us like is how you must be very precise in placing the handle in the exact position to turn off the water completely. We’re constantly finding the water dripping and have to again hunt for the sweet spot off position.

Love it!
We installed our faucet about 3 weeks ago. We love the faucet so far. I have a few quirks about it but nothing major. First, when i was installing it, there is small plastic tabs that go under it. Well trying to line up the faucet, i broke one of the tabs. They don't seem important but it did break. So if your installing yours be careful. the other thing is when you have the handle set to hot, it comes out slower than if its in the center position. If you try to get more pressure, you end up taking it out of the most hot position. Not a deal breaker for me. I haven't really used the shield spray that is on it. I don't really think it will work like they say but i cannot really comment on it. I do like the 2 different spray choices that i have though. Overall i think that this is a great faucet for the price. I hope that it will last a long time.

Quality Product!
The installation was pretty easy. I had to go back and reread the directions a few times, as I was not sure that the faucet should sit directly on the granite countertop, or if I should use the trim piece. It seems to work fine either way.

Bought about a month ago and was looking forward to the shield feature. The water had to be on with aperture goof pressure to work, but it still sprays all over when cleaning plates etc. Love the faucet but not happy with this feature

What is the difference between stainless steel finish, and artic finish. I am interested in the Leland faucet. Thank you
Hi Bosco, Thank you for your question. There is a slight difference in the finishes of Artic Stainless and Stainless Steel. Artic Stainless more closely resembles the stainless steel appliances that are available for the kitchens in todays markets. It has a bluish tint to it.
Stainless Steel has a golder tone to it and more closely matches finishes in the bathroom.

What size holes should be cut in my countertop to accommodate the spout, handle and soap dipenser?

Soap dispenser leaks from the spout. How can I fix this?
I did not install this faucet, it was in place when I bought my apartment but looks fairly new and the faucet works like a charm! However the soap dispenser needs to be pumped 4-5 times for soap to come out (the bottle is full of soap) and then after dispensing, it slowly leaks onto the sink. How can this be fixed? Thank you!
Hi Marin, We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with your soap dispenser. It sounds like the pump assembly is not working properly. Unfortunately the pump assembly is not available as a separate item. The entire RP50813 soap dispenser will need to be replaced.

I would like to take off the faucet head because it has begun to spray - I assume build up is inside the head. I see the little piece you can push in but it doesn't want to come apart from the hose easily. Is there a trick to take the head off?

Thank you for your inquiry! The wand/sprayer assembly of the Delta Leland Pull-Down Kitchen 978-AR-DST faucet, an be remove by simply unscrewing it from the end of the hose assembly. This should be done by hand only.

The spec indicates a min clearance of 2.5 inches from center of hole for faucet to backsplash. I only have 2 inches. Why is 2.5 inches needed since the handle goes forward and not back? Will 2 inches work?
Thank you for your question, Bridget! The minimum clearance to the back splash is typically suggested for lavatory models with lift rods or for models where the handle does reach backwards. This is still suggested for maximum comfort and ease of use with the handle; however this model can still work with only 2".

Thank you for your question. The Delta Leland Pull-Down 19978-SS-DST faucet is a Home Depot exclusive model and it is similar to the Leland 9178-AR-DST faucet. However, the 9178-AR-DST is designed with the ShieldSpray feature and the 19978-SS-DST model is not.

I have granite countertops with two existing holes. One hole is only 1.375" dia. Is this large enough for the handle?
