We replaced the batteries, did a reset, now it barely comes on - there is no pressure, We checked all the things it could be to no avail so we had to put it back into manual mode. I read this on other reviews prior to purchasing but thought we’d get lucky. I should have known better.

It started to leak about 2 months ago and is getting progressively worse. For a kitchen faucet to be leaking in so short a time is totally unacceptable. P.S. I'm a retired retired mechanical engineer, so I know what I'm talking about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Design & Ease of Use & Quality I bought this approx. 9+ years ago and it has serviced us well. It's so easy to use. The only issue we've had was about a yr. ago, water was dripping. We didn't know it had a cartridge. After speaking with St. Tammany Supply where we purchased, we were told it probably needed a replacement cartridge. The recommended a plumber and the same day, he came out and replaced for us. Probably could do it ourselves when needed. The first one lasted about 8+ yrs. - Found out on other bathroom faucets there's a key to remove strainer for cleaning. Today, checking with St.Tammany Supply, they had a key for the bathroom faucets. Wow worked like a jewel. No more toothbrushes to try to clean upside down. Hopefully, there's a key for this one, if not, will have to check assembly. Hats off to Delta. Ours looks as good as the day they were installed with the Nickle finish.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not old school Delta Works well but every 2 years you get to write them a request a new valve cartridge. Maybe not a big deal to some but after a while you wish they would use less plastic in these internal parts. Finish is holding up well

The "sleeve assembly" for the handle includes an incredibly cheap/weak plastic piece that breaks easily and results in non-ability to properly secure the assembly to the countertop. Check reviews for RP51481 and see for yourself. 2. Plan on going through multiple cartridges. Again, check on reviews of RP50587.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy with this faucet This faucet is very difficult to get the water to turn off. The handle has to be in the exact right position or the faucet drips. Now, the head of the faucet is having issues and the water flow is not coming out as strongly as it should be. It is also difficult to get the water temperature correct. I would have returned it if it wasn't so difficult to install.

Now I need to get an updated kitchen sink to match the faucet. The water pressure, however, seems to be a little less than my other one. I like the decorative style of this faucet.

The buttons for spray are too easy to push accidentally, the faucet head is too low, neither spray is useful to me, and there is only one flow selection for the non-spray mode. I like the non-spot finish, but that's it. Would not buy it again for those reasons.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's OK. Functional and seems to be well made. Been using it about 2 months. Two issues: 1) I find the "spay shield" to be useless. I prefer the regular spray. 2) I would like to have a way to stop the water flow w/o altering the hot/cold mix (e.g., for rinsing a variety of dishware, utensils, etc.) Particularly with the "oval" shape of the handle movement, a flow interrupter would be great. Would recommend to a friend with a few minor reservations.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 9178-AR-DST Review This faucet was installed one month ago. I read online reviews before purchasing. I like this faucet, BUT THE ONE WEAK LINK is the plastic clip that attaches the faucet outlet to the hose. I had the clip also bound by 2 tie wraps to keep it from coming apart (as was recommended in online reviews). This morning we had a flood under the sink as the clip popped off from pulling out the spray hose (even with the tie wraps). I called Delta and they are sending me a new clip, as they said the original clip may have been faulty. Delta needs to design a better clip to keep the hoses together (hopefully a locking clip). Very nice faucet other than the clip issue. I would not recommend this faucet to others unless the clip design is improved.

The setup was pretty easy and I liked the fact that a wrench was included in box to make it easier to tighten the faucet to the sink. The only negative I have is I wish the hot and cold water lines were aluminum and not plastic tubes but I was till able to make it work.

I would like to take off the faucet head because it has begun to spray - I assume build up is inside the head. I see the little piece you can push in but it doesn't want to come apart from the hose easily. Is there a trick to take the head off?

Hello Chritsy, Thank you for your inquiry! The wand/sprayer assembly of the Delta Leland Pull-Down Kitchen 978-AR-DST faucet, an be remove by simply unscrewing it from the end of the hose assembly. This should be done by hand only. Best regards, Tanya

The spec indicates a min clearance of 2.5 inches from center of hole for faucet to backsplash. I only have 2 inches.  Why is 2.5 inches needed since the handle goes forward and not back? Will 2 inches work?

Thank you for your question, Bridget! The minimum clearance to the back splash is typically suggested for lavatory models with lift rods or for models where the handle does reach backwards. This is still suggested for maximum comfort and ease of use with the handle; however this model can still work with only 2". Best regards, Edward

I see where you have answered the question about the difference between Model 9178 and 9678. What is the difference between those and Model 19978?

Hello Kathy 61, Thank you for your question. The Delta Leland Pull-Down 19978-SS-DST faucet is a Home Depot exclusive model and it is similar to the Leland 9178-AR-DST faucet. I have granite countertops with two existing holes. One hole is only 1.375" dia. Is this large enough for the handle?

What is the tubing for the pull-out spray made of? I am concerned about the materials as the drinking water is now being consumed from this spray.
