The high sweeping faucet allows large pans to fit easily under for filling or cleaning. The finish is easy to clean and does show spots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's good, not great. I purchased a month ago. The head of the sprayer needs to be twisted sometimes for the magnet to engage when placing it back in the pocket. And I also had a previous model and I like the full spray feature. This one is a partial spray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth Action I bought the faucet based on its high rating, to replace one that I had first installed in our recently remodeled kitchen. It's handle was stiffening up after less than 6 months of use. Installation was fairly easy, though the PEX supply lines are quite stiff. Once in place it looks great; a good match for our new stainless steel appliances. Full water flow seems greater than with the old unit, and the handle action is super smooth. Looking forward to many years of reliable service.

(The money I save on my water bill will make up for the extra I paid for touch feature in a couple of months probably.) Also easy to install, thanks to the included tool!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great start, and then downhill I bought this in May, installed it and initially it worked flawlessly. In the last month, the action on the handle has deteriorated. When pulling from cold to off, the handle now "squeeks" and has an audible and wonky, uneven motion when closing the valve. It seems way too early for a maintenance issue with a brand new faucet but something isn't right with this Delta model.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This Faucet is Great...EXCEPT... This faucet is great EXCEPT two things. 1) The magnet has COMPLETELY RUSTED out in a little under four years. So, the faucet doesn't fit flush to the mount anymore. It is disappointing that Delta would manufacture a product that has constant contact with water without a barrier or seal for the magnet. Now, I'm constantly wiping rusted metal dust from around the faucet head. Even more disappointing is the fact that the replacement magnet is $43! That's completely overpriced for such a small component. Additionally, the limited lifetime warranty only applies to faucets purchased after 1/1/2019. It's as if Delta knows the part will FAIL. So, it started offering the warranty. 2) No matter how much I tighten the nut on the faucet, it leaks unless you position the handle a certain way. Very annoying. Delta...I used to appreciate the quality of your products. However, after owning this particular faucet, I now question it. I now have serious reservations about purchasing another Delta faucet as a replacement or recommending the faucet to any builders. The only reason I gave it three stars and not one is because I liked the faucet when it worked. I really expected better, Delta. This recent experience has been truly disappointing.

When someone doesn't use the touch feature, then it messes you up the next time you want it on, so you need to train everyone in the house! I also like the pull down sprayer and how it clips back in so well. I am very happy with my purchase!

This picture shows that it toggles to spray, so just making sure it does?

I would like to take off the faucet head because it has begun to spray - I assume build up is inside the head. I see the little piece you can push in but it doesn't want to come apart from the hose easily. Is there a trick to take the head off?

Hello Chritsy, Thank you for your inquiry! The wand/sprayer assembly of the Delta Leland Pull-Down Kitchen 978-AR-DST faucet, an be remove by simply unscrewing it from the end of the hose assembly. This should be done by hand only. Best regards, Tanya

The spec indicates a min clearance of 2.5 inches from center of hole for faucet to backsplash. I only have 2 inches.  Why is 2.5 inches needed since the handle goes forward and not back? Will 2 inches work?

Thank you for your question, Bridget! The minimum clearance to the back splash is typically suggested for lavatory models with lift rods or for models where the handle does reach backwards. This is still suggested for maximum comfort and ease of use with the handle; however this model can still work with only 2". Best regards, Edward

I see where you have answered the question about the difference between Model 9178 and 9678. What is the difference between those and Model 19978?

Hello Kathy 61, Thank you for your question. The Delta Leland Pull-Down 19978-SS-DST faucet is a Home Depot exclusive model and it is similar to the Leland 9178-AR-DST faucet. I have granite countertops with two existing holes. One hole is only 1.375" dia. Is this large enough for the handle?

What is the tubing for the pull-out spray made of? I am concerned about the materials as the drinking water is now being consumed from this spray.
