Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple but elegant This faucet was designed to make it easy for the "average Joe" to install and for the most part it was. Delta has a put out a You Tube video that does an excellent job showing the process making reading the directions virtually unnecessary. I would rate it a five star BUT for the material used for the hoses(VERY STIFF PEX-C). I used a heat gun to make it more pliable BUT YOU MUST HAVE A HEAT GUN THAT CAN PUT OUT ULTRA LOW HEAT(most heat guns start at 500 degrees or hotter which WILL damage the Pex). I had one that started at 150 degrees and it made the Pex so much easier to work with. If I was designing the faucet I would have used that flexible "wire mesh burst proof type of hose which would have made connecting to the valves so much easier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delta you can do better I installed the Collins DST-440 kitchen faucet on 6/11/2023. I'm writing this review on 12/28/2023 because I wanted to use the faucet for a while before reviewing it however there was something very evident from the start. The stiffness of the handle. It does not move easily compared to previous Delta kitchen faucets I have installed which have all used a ball, seats and springs. This faucet uses a cartridge and it is the first time I've used a faucet having a cartridge. Maybe that explains the handle's stiffness but regardless no faucet should be so hard to move that it causes your sink to flex when moving the handle. The end result is the sink moves and the handle not as much as it should. I bought and installed the stiffener part and that does no good and which btw is overpriced and really should be included with the faucet given this faucet handle's stiffness. I have a stainless steel sink so it will not be as rigid as sinks made from thicker material. Nonetheless I have never had a problem with the sink flexing from previous faucets I've used. I've read other reviews that mention the handle has to be dead center in order to completely shut of the water. After using this faucet I believe that problem is again related to the stiffness of the handle. Yes, the handle must be dead center to completely shut off the water as that is how single handle faucets work. But I have always been able to tell by the feel when a single handle faucet reaches dead center because I feel the resistance created when it 'seats' in the center. But not so with this faucet because the stiffness sometimes makes it feel as if it has hit center when it really hasn't. Delta I would like to know if this issue of stiffness is common to all single handle faucets that use a cartridge or just the cartridge that this faucet uses? I will recommend this faucet if it is going to be used on a sink made of porcelain or some other material that is as rigid as porcelain.

Should faucet continue to flow when sprayer is on?

Hi Bill, Thank you for your question! The water should stop running from the main spout when the sprayer is running. If the water continues to run the diverter needs to be replaced. The diverter is apart of the sprayer assembly RP54235. Best regards, Brandis

do all 4-hole faucets have an 8 inch center set? I mean those with single handle and side spray. Are there 10 inch center sets?

Hi, Aurora76! Thank you for your question. The Delta 440-DST Faucet works on 8" (203 mm ) centers. The sprayer hose assembly measures 45" (1143mm) long hose. We recommend checking our other kitchen faucets for 10" center faucets. Best Regards, Rosanna

Can the pex supply tubes be cut and shortened by sliding the ferrill higher up further on the tube ?

Series 440-DST has part number RP54235 for the spray & hose assembly but all I need is the sprayer. Is there a part number to replace just the sprayer?

What's the difference between collins 441-dst and collins 440-dst?

can I connect a portable dishwasher to spout?
